Familyhood Champions is a network of Oklahomans, including local leaders and organizations, committed to strengthening families. They support the statewide Familyhood Initiative, boosting Oklahoma Human Services' capacity to serve individuals and families. Through three types of trainings, individuals can access knowledge, resources, and evidence-based curricula to build adult and youth capacity.
Familyhood will support Champions through resources, guidance, and ongoing communication to address challenges, share knowledge and sustain engagement.
Expand Familyhood services to build a powerful statewide network that strengthens and uplifts Oklahoma families.
Provide targeted, evidence-based training to help individuals and organizations strengthen family services and support human service providers in meeting the needs of individuals and families.
Create a network of professionals who wish to support the work of Familyhood and service delivery through referrals and community-based connections.
Familyhood provides free training opportunities that equip individuals with the tools to make a lasting impact as educators, builders, or connectors.
Educators
Individuals become trained in one or more Familyhood Champions curricula, equipping them to lead group-based workshops within their organizations and/or communities.
Builders
Individuals build the capacity of their teams or clients by learning and applying frameworks, concepts and skills to enhance existing services.
Connectors
Individuals or groups commit to build family-focused networks within their communities, learning how to effectively connect clients or individuals to Familyhood services.
Familyhood shares proven strategies for strengthening families, offering research-based content to Oklahomans looking to build skills and drive change.
All materials needed for both the training and any subsequent workshops will be provided free of charge.
